Attaching to articles.-A flanged plate 1, secured to the side of the box by bent-up tongues to guide a sliding lid, has one or more central tongues 4 thinned out so that tney can be readily passed through the side of the box and turned over. Tongues 3 at the end of the plate may also be thinned out. Fig. 2 shows a pair of similar spiked plates connected together to form a hinge.
