Indicators, alarm and signal.-Apparatus for indicating and locating the presence of fire and water in the holds of ships comprises a series of contact-makers suspended in gimbals in different parts of the ship, each device comprising a float f, supported on a fusible wire h, the float being adapted either when it is released from its support and drops by gravity, or when it is lifted by the water, to close an electric circuit in which is a manifold indicator.
