Press-button fasteners. -A s t u d - a n d - s o c k e t fastening comprises an open-ended split tubular stud 1 having an external bead 3 adapted to snap past, and be retained by, an internal flange 7 of a cup-shaped socket 5, which is provided with a conical central projection 8 on its base as shown. When it is desired to engage the two parts of the fastening together more firmly, the stud member is pressed on to the projection 8 and expanded thereby.
