Abstract

13,128. Burditt, C. W. Sept. 14 Laces ; buckles.-In laces of the kind comprising a leather strap adapted to be threaded through the boot eyelet and to be fastened by a buckle forming part of the lace, the buckle is of the friction-grip kind which holds the lace at any point without penetrating it. The strap lace 1 is furnished at one end with a buckle frame 2 having pivoted on a central cross-bar 3 a prongless tongue 5. The tongue is formed of a strip of metal doubled on itself and swelled out to form a tubular portion 9 embracing the cross-bar 3, the end 7 of the strap being inserted between its ends and secured by rivets 10.
