9900. Smith, H. D., and Hudlass, F. W. July 7. Double and multiple wheels arranged side by side; detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs.- An additional wheel 2 is secured to an existing vehicle wheel 1 by a distance-member comprising a central part 3 fitting on the hub of the existing wheel, an inner flange 4 by which it is bolted thereto, and an outer flange 5 and seating 6 on which the additional wheel 2 is secured by a disk 14 and bolts 15. Spokes, securing.-When the wheels 2 are of the artillery type, the hub ends of the spokes are secured between plates 11 by tubular or solid rivets 13 as shown.
