Abstract

8304. Ginger, F. W. June 4. Bedsteads combined with tents.-A combined bedstead and tent comprises a framework constructed of tubes connected by sockets, some of the sockets being secured by means of cross-pins. The bed framing comprises tubes b, d supported by leg frames i, m, and supports uprights 12, 18 to which the tent framing 20, 24, 26 is connected by means of inclined sockets. The bed bottom comprises a sheet of canvas a<1> looped at u, secured by lacing 1, and having looped portions of canvas a<2>, a<3>, a<4> sown to it, the part a<4> being supported by a cross-bar e and serviug as a head-rest. A pair of bedsteads may be combined, as shown in Fig. 2, under one tent framing, bars 28, 29, 30 connecting the side bars b ; more than two bedsteads may be similarly combined, some of the beds being arranged above the others.
