[Cognate Application, 7989/14.] Folding bedsteads.-A folding camp cot, which is adapted to be used as a stretcher or palanquin or to be covered by canvas to form a tent, comprises a longitudinal member c supported by end members a, b which are arranged in inverted V- form and support the side members d and end members p of a bed e. Carrying - bars k are pivoted in members n which form a connexion between the supports a, b and the member c. Legs g are mounted on the supports a, b by means of socket-pieces having slots engaged by pins i which allow the legs to be turned up out of the way when the arrangement is to be used as a stretcher. The members c, d may be formed in two parts connected by bayonet-joints. Sheets of canvas t mounted on spring rollers are supported at the upper part of the cot and may be drawn down to protect it from the weather.
