Locking.-A locking-device for the valves of ventilating t@unks &c. comprises a locking-plate G turning with a handle D and movable endways against the action of a spring H in a casing E adjacent the valve or damper casing C. A pin J on the locking-plate G engages in one of several holes in the front of the casing, and retains the valve or damper in it adjusted position ; it may, in addition, be l@ d by a screw pin and nut L, N in the lo ng-plate passing through a slot in the front p ate of the casing E.
