Abstract

5944. Lamar, L. A. April 20. Body attachments, buoyant.-A number of floats 4 are attached to a life-saving garment by means comprising a strap 5 for. each float secured at its ends to the garment, and a band 8 extending around the garment and having connexion with the straps 5. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the straps 5 pass through loops 7 on the floats and are secured to the garment by snap-fasteners 6 ; and the band 8 passes through loops 9 on the garment and is secured by snap-fasteners 6 to the straps 5. The garment is a union suit with a draw-string 3 at the neck. In a modification, Fig. 6, the straps 5 are stitched to the garment and provided with a buckle.
