Abstract
5647. Sellman, G. H. April 14. Meat safes.-Sheet-metal and wire-gauze or the like safes are made with top and bottom horizontal outwardly-pressed mouldings a. These mouldings have outer extensions to which the top and bottom are bolted, and inner extensions which may be folded as shown at f, Fig. 3, to grip the side gauze panels h. In a modification, separate bent metal strips i, Fig. 4, may be used, the part k clipping on to the inner extensions and the part j on to the wire-gauze. The door has a frame n and moulding o, fitting between the upper and lower mouldings and hinged to one edge of the safe; the wire-gauze is secured to the frame by the strips i as above. In a further modification, the lid may be hinged, the back of it being fixed with screws and nuts.
