Abstract

4770. Richmond Gas Stove & Meter Co., and Hartley, H. March 27. Gas-fires.-Laterally-extending reflectors f are provided in connexion with a gas-fire having radiants b arranged around a fire-clay support a, which protrudes substantially in front of the plane of the back-plate. The space between the support a and the back-plate may be packed with slagwool or other non-conductor of heat. The exposed portion of the base-plate c may act as a reflector, and a further one may be fitted at the bottom of the front portion of the hood or canopy. In a modification, Fig. 4, the support is circular or polygonal in cross-section and is arranged in front of a curved reflector f, the radiants b being arranged all round the support.
