Springs, arrangement of.-The body of a side-car is rigidly attached to the cycle, an underframe being dispensed with, and the wheel axle is directly connected to the body by means of a spring. In the arrangement shown, the body A is attached to the cycle by means of three tubes B, C, D, the tubes B, C being respectively attached to the down-tube and near the seat pillar, and the tube D being clamped under the body and attached near the bottom bracket or chain stays. The axle F of the wheel G is pivoted at E to the body and is supported from the body by a spring J. The axle passes through a slot H or may be cranked to pass under the body. The axle need not extend across the body, and by modifying the spring, a very short axle may be provided.
