Tread bands, projections, and surfaces.-A non-skid pad A is composed of resilent material having a convex serrated outer wearing-surface, a central recess, and an inner surface of stepped cylindrical form. An eyelet B has a head which is similarly stepped and may have fangs to engage the tread; its end is expanded over the washer c<2>. Its bore is screw-threaded to receive a screwed stud D. A nut d' of wearresisting material fits over the head of the stud.
