Tread projections.-A tyre tread is formed with one or more central circumferential ribs a having sinuous or other irregular sides and with side ribs b, c, preferably smaller than the central rib or ribs, which may have the inner or both the inner and outer sides sinuous or irregular. The central rib or ribs are intended to take the main load of the wheel. The irregular sides may be formed by stud-like projections d, e, f, which may be circular, semicircular, oval, triangular, or of other form. The projections may be in alinement or in staggered relation on the ribs.
