As applied to an arm sling, the rest 8 for the arm is connected to the strap 7 passing over the shoulder by two pairs of flat coil springs 9, the extension of which is limited by a piece of cord 10, as shown in Fig. 4. Buckles, swivels, and snap-hooks may be provided to facilitate adjustment.
