Valve-gear; regulating.-The main air-admission valve K is clip-shaped and, becoming heated, vaporizes the oil which passes over it from the passage H when the valve G is opened by a collar J on the spindle of the valve K. The annular air passage C gradually contracts to the point E and then expands again. The air baffle B may be adjusted so that the air enters above it or below it, to vary its temperature. The valve K is opened hy suction when the lever 0 compresses the spring P, but it remains closed when the governor prevents the exhaust valve from being opened.
