Mechanically interconnected switches; pressbutton switches.-In an electric starter, a switch for controlling the circuits consists of a spring returned pedal which carries a contact h. On the downward movement of this contact, it connects a spring contact g in front of the contact h in turn with contacts g<1>, g<2> mounted on the back of the box q. The pedal also carries an insulated finger h<1>, which on the downward movement carries a contact i with it to connect contacts f, f<1>. At a certain point, owing to the inclined support of the contact i, it is released from the finger h<1> and then returned by a spring s<2>. The piece i<1>, with which the finger h' engages, being pivoted, allows the pedal to return freely.
