23,117. Rybtchinsky, W. Nov. 26. Hubs.-A brake surface is provided on the hub of a cycle or motor-car wheel to coact with a pneumatic hub-brake. As shown in Fig. 5, the cylinder 5 sliding on the fixed piston 3 bears frictionally on the flange 22 formed on the hub. In Fig. 7 the hub and the axle are shown in one piece, and the piston 5 acts on the cycle fork 14. In Fig. 15 the pistons 5 are shown sliding in a block 27 fixed to the stationary tubular portion of the rear axle of a motorcar and acting on a disk 29 on the wheel.
