Abstract

21,339. Bullivant, F. A., and Bullivant, T. Oct. 21. Coupling.-A clamping- device for securing together angularly-arranged wires, ropes, rods, &c. comprises two members 1, 2, approximately alike in formation and having each a semicylindrical, or in part semicylindrical, or other suitably shaped recess 5 for the reception of the rope &c., and projections 7 separated by a shaped recess 8. When the parts are drawn together by bolts &c., the projections 7 enter the opposing recess 5 and preferably fit snugly so as to prevent relative movement of the two parts. Ropes &c. crossing at an angle other than a rightangle can be similarly secured together. Specification 10,674/13 is referred to.
