Abstract

Hubs.-For securing wheels on axles or shafts, the axle or shaft end has one or more longitudinal recesses 1<1>, from one side of which recesses 1<2> branch in a transverse direction. A collet 2 with projections of a size to slide in the longitudinal recesses is placed over the axle end and is secured by a locking-member 3 with projections 3<1> adapted to slide along the longitudinal recesses and, by a partial turn, engage with the transverse recesses 1<2>, relative movement of the parts 2, 3 being prevented by screws 5 or bolts.
