Nozzles with regulable orifices; perforated pipes.-The nozzle consists of a perforated tube L, Figs. 1, 3, and 5, closed at one end by a screw plug C and carrying either one or more plain sleeves D, D<1>, Figs. 1 and 5, which can slide longitudinally, without rotating, or one or more perforated sleeves G, Fig. 3, which can rotate without sliding, so as to cover up one or more of the holes or slots 0 in the tube L. The sleeves may be clamped in position by a screw F or by screwing into the plug N. The plug may be perforated for a jet and have a tap N<1>.
