Abstract

18,749. Turner, M. C. Aug. 17. Cabinets. - The door of a telephone booth consists of leaves 3, 4 hinged together so as to fold within the booth, and the leaf 3 is provided with a beading 7 which co-operates with a groove on the leaf 4 so as to form a soundproof joint and a fingerprotecting means. Each leaf is formed with a lip 9 to overlap the frame. A pin 13, Fig. 5, on the leaf 4 engages a slotted member 12 in the roof of the booth, so as to guide the door in its movement from the closed position through the intermediate position shown in dotted lines to the fully open position shown in full lines. The weight of the door may be partly supported by a bracket 20, Fig. 7, carrying a roller 19 which engages a groove 18 in the lower partition of the double ceiling.
