Abstract

16,302. Semmelroth, R. B. July 8. Channels in springs.-To distribute lubricant between the leaves of vehicle springs, the underside of each leaf is formed with a groove 17, on each side. of which are branching grooves 19. Openings 20, 21 through the leaves connect the grooves 17 in series. Oil is introduced through a passage 15 in the pivot bolt 11 that supports the vehicle, and enters an annular groove 16 communicating with an opening 18 in the knuckle 12 of the uppermost leaf 4.
