Sound and vibration, preventing. - Metal trough sleepers have at each end curved guides 7 with flanges 9 secured to the side walls 3 ; a cylinder 17 slides within the guides and contains a spring 18, which presses upwards the rail seat 12. The plate 12 is preferably integral with the cylinder 17 and carries the rail-securing clamps 16.
