Abstract

Indicating.-The usual rotatable sleeve C of a micrometer gauge is formed with a graduated spiral slot C<1> with which engages an index member F movable in a straight groove B<1> in the fixed part B of the gauge and graduated to serve as a vernier. The measuring-spindle D is forked at its outer end, the fork I being engaged by an internal projection J on a milled part L on the sleeve C. A coarse screw adjustment for the stop pin E is provided.
