Abstract

Sparking plugs.-In engines in which ignition is effected at starting by means of an ignition plug f, means are provided for replacing the ignition plug by a dummy plug g when the engine is running, ignition being then effected by the heat of compression. The plugs f, g are carried upon a bridle h rotatably mounted on a lever i pivoted to a bracketj on the cylinder. The other end of the lever is provided with a screw k and hand-wheel l, by means of which it may be locked in position. The bridle may be replaced by a star-wheel carrying several plugs.
