Foot and toe clips.-Toe straps for use with the rubber pedals of cycles &c. are provided at one end a with a metal strip b folded over at c against the face of the leather and secured thereto as by a split rivet d and a washer, and the buckle for the opposite side is carried by a second metal strip l hinged to the cross-bar, the two metal strips being perforated to engage the screw-threaded ends of the pin or bolt i carrying the one or more rubber blocks j of the.tread bar. The fold at c is intended to ensure that the strain be taken by the full width of the strap and not by only the reduced effective width at the rivet hole. The usual nuts k secure the metal strips in position on the ends of the pin i. The strip b may be arranged either on the inside or outside of the leather.
