Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and rubber-ring and like cushions.-The hub member consisting of two plates 5, Fig. 1, on a sleeve is connected to plates 3 on the rim member by a floating annulus 6 which carries cylindrical rubber cushions mounted in pockets and traversed by spindles 9. In the case of two concentric series of cushions, each series is connected to the adjacent wheel member by means of nuts screwed on the spindles. In the case of a single series of cushions, Fig. 4, those 70 on two perpendicular diameters are carried by the plates 5 which are cut away at 19 to give freedom to the spindles of the remaining cushions connected to the rim plates. Spring- pressed antifriction rings 15 are carried by the plates 3 and lubricated from the hub through channels 16. In the form shown in Fig. 7, in which the plates 3, 5 do not overlap, lateral stability is obtained by bars 20, 21, which may be hollow, Fig. 11, so as to feed lubricant through apertures 23 from the hollow member 6.
