Cylinders, cooling.- Heat - radiating plates A, made of aluminium or its alloys with or without other metals of better heat - dispersing power, such as copper and tin, are provided with a flange B by which they are strapped to the cylinder; they may also be notched and perforated as shown. Fig. 1 shows a plate which embraces the cylinder, while that shown in Fig. 5 is arranged in a plane containing its axis, the straps passing through slots L. Specification 9628/14 is referred to.
