Friction wheels and disks.-A friction disk consists of one or more leather strips 3 pressed by a ring 4 against a flange 2 extending from the body of the disk in an axial direction, the edge of the leather constituting the driving-surface. In assembling, the ring and the disks are placed on a cone the base of which is equal in diameter to the flange 2, on which the ring and leather are then pressed.
