Telescope systems.-In cystoscopes and similar instruments for inspecting cavities in the human body, in which successive reversing systems as c, d are used with an intermediate collecting lens, the usual single collecting lens is replaced by two equivalent lenses f<1>,f<2> lying on either side of the locus of a real image. Dust collected on the lenses is thus rendered out of focus.
