8273. Spiess, G. April 1. Sheet-registering devices; carriers.-In apparatus for feeding sheets to printing, folding, or other machines, the sheets are fed from a table A by rolls B, C to a flight of tapes D, which may retard the sheet before delivering it against the stops E. Above the tapes D is a series of rollers G on pivoted arms H adjustably secured to a carriage I, which is reciprocated in guides Q by levers O, P, M. The rollers G first move forward over the sheet until it reaches the stops E, and then move back to a position clear of the rear edge; leaving the sheet free for side registration.
