Abstract

7313. Horvßth, F. Nov. 29, 1913, [Convention date]. Butter and cheese cutters. - Consists in removing a plug from the centre of the cheese and then cutting-up the perforated cake into segment-shaped pieces. The cheese is first placed upon a resilient support J of rubber sponge &c. upon a board V and a plug removed centrally therefrom by means of a cutter R detachably carried by a rod L slidably mounted within a sleeve M. After withdrawing and detaching the cutter R, the cheese is placed upon an upper table K and divided by a cutter D comprising radial wires E stretched between a pair of rings, Each pair of adjacent cutters E consists of a single wire which is doubled on the inner ring and has its ends secured in the outer ring by pins F and screws G. The cutter D is secured to the upper end of the rod by a nut C and is operated by a pedal lever P adapted to be connected to the lower end of the rod L by a chain O.
