The trumpet A rests on feet A' and curves upwardly at C from a flared mouth B. The tone-arm E is joined to the trumpet at C by a swivel joint, such as a screw union joint, and continues the curved shape of the trumpet. The sound-box F is connected by a tube F<2> which telescopes into the tone-arm. A trigger G frictionally held in either of two positions, and a wire G<1> are used to raise and lower the sound-box. The trumpet A and tonearm E are preferably made of thin wood.
