Cases; connexions.- One or more dry cells for use in a pocket lamp are enclosed in a case f, extended at the top, within which a separate cover-plate i, having holes to allow testing but not use, can fit and be sealed as by a paper band k. In the form shown in Fig. 1, one of three cells is inverted, and has the shorter terminal d attached to it, the ends of the cells being covered by an additional strip g of millboard, paper, fibre, wood, vulcanite, mica, celluloid, or the like, impregnated if necessary with paraffin wax by slow baking and immersion while hot.
