2820. Riddle, H. May 21, 1913, [Convention date]. Dcrailing, preventing.-A safety device for cars, adapted to prevent derailing and to act as a wheel gnard, comprises plates 2. 3 secured at opposite sides of the wheels by bolts 5, and formed with flanges 10 engaging under the head of the rail. The plates are spaced by distance-pieces 5<1> and formed with slots 7 to receive the axle, and are curved at the ends over the wheel tread as shown in Fig. 2.
