Breech actions, dropdown barrel; firing- appliances applicable generally; barrels ; stocks; trigger-guards; toy-guns.-According to the invention, in order to facilitate sighting, two parallel barrels are connected together by a rib, which does not extend to the muzzle end of the barrels, where a space is left between the muzzles, and a detachable fore-end is so shaped that it can be gripped without the fingers coming in contact with the barrels and obstructing the vision. As shown in Fig. 12, the rib c connecting the two barrels a leaves a free space a' at the muzzle end of the barrels, and is further made with an open-work front part e, which may, as an alternative, be formed of separate short ribs or studs at short intervals. As shown in Figs. 1 and 5, the upper face of the rib c has a longitudinal V-shaped groove providing a line of sight and rendering a sight proper unnecessary. The fore-end f, strengthened by a metal plate k, is made with recesses l, l<1> for the fingers and is secured to the barrels by a spring catch j. The Provisional Specification describes also (1) adjustable cheek-pads for varying the ' cast-off ' of the stock, and (2) covered triggers and a triggerguard without strap, to protect the right hand from the cold touch.
