Mcat-block, counters, and the like, cleaning.- A machine for cleaning meat - blocks, chopping- blocks, counters, &c., similar in general construction to a carpetsweeper, comprises a motor-driven interchangeable rotary scraping-tool and brush mounted in a resiliently - supported casing. The rotary tool is fitted with trunnions which pass through slots 7 in the ends of the casing and are journaled in hinged flaps 12. The trunnions are fitted, between the casing and flaps, with gear-wheels 10 gearing with wheels 17 on the shaft of the motor 14, which is connected by a flexible lead to a wall plug 20. In operation, the casing is pushed over the surface by the handle 18 and guided by the handle 21<a>. The supporting-wheels 21 are mounted on through-way axles passing through slots in the ends of the casing, and spiral springs 23 are fitted between the casing and the axles. A hinged flap 6 at the rear of the casing permits access to the brush or scraper. The blades and bristles of the scraper and brush respectively are arranged in sinuous or spiral curves, of which several constructions are illustrated.
