2090. Imray, O., [Farbwerke vorm. Meister, Lucius, & Br³ning]. Jan. 26. Arsenoazo compounds are obtained by reducing the corresponding azo dyes containing an arsinic or arsenoxide group by means of hypophosphorous acid. According to examples, the azo dyes from 3-diazo-4-oxyphenyl-1-arsinic acid and phloroglucin, m-diazophenylarsinic acid and 2- naphthylamine-3:6-disulphonic acid, and from diazotized atoxyl and 1:8:3:6-aminonaphtholdisulphonic acid, are reduced. The products have therapeutic properties.
