Sliding-jaw wrenches. -In a wrench of the type shown, having a sliding jaw b operated by a screw c bearing in a socket in a fixed abutment member d, d<1> secured round the shank a<2>, the bearing-extension c<2> of the screw c is made of tapered and rounded form, the socket being correspondingly shaped, and the member d, d' is riveted, as by rivets e, to the shank. The sliding jaw b is preferably of solid metal, and the handle a<3> curved as shown.
