Reciporting - mould - table machines.-A brickmachiue comprises a pug-mill B provided at its base with a pair of outlets u leading into horizontal chambers C, each fitted with a plunger H adapted to press the material into vertical press chambers D, from which it is forced by plungers J into moulds G mounted on slides E. The halves of the machine operate alternately, so that, as each mould is being filled, the other is pushed forward for discharge. A shaft 0, geared to a shaft M driven directly from the main shaft A, operates the pug-mill shaft through gearing R and, through gearing P, V, operates a shaft U carrying wipers p, p' adapted to engage with projections on the upper part of the plunger J. The wheel V is coupled by a link f to a disk Z mounted on a shaft g, which is fitted with levers h for operating the mould slides E through links i. The plungers H are operated by levers m on a shaft l connected by a rod j to the disk Z. The moulds are strickled by a scraper x pivoted to a shaft and adjustable by a quadrant z<1> operated by a handle y. When the filled moulds reach the front of the machine, they are discharged by hand on to a page or tray v.
