Abstract
29,254. Hunnybun, G., [Stanes, F. J., and RogÚ, G. S.]. Dec. 18: Sulphuric acid.-The heat generated by the combustion of sulphur is utilized for the recovery of a portion -of the acid from acid sulphates. In an example, pulverized sulphur is mixed with powdered or liquid sodium bisulphate, and the mixture roasted in an open. pan until the sulphur ignites. The free acid is driven off along with sulphur dioxide, the residue consisting chiefly of sodium sulphate.
