Sleeves 20 insulate the rail from the chair, and insulation 15, which may be in two parts, is placed between the chair and the sleepers, insulating- sleeves being used for the bolts. At rail joints, extensions 23 are provided on the chairs, the insulation 20 being lengthened accordingly.
