Abstract

27,852. Bethenod, J. F. J. Dec. 27, 1912, [Convention date]. Dynamos, regulating.-In a dynamo having a variable speed and load, a resistance R is permanently connected in series with the exciting- coil S and the machine voltage is 'kept constant by means of a voltage-regulating relay E having a vibrating blade L which intermittently shortcircuits the exciting-coil S only. The machine may be excited by any other method than that shown; or the coil may be connected between one of the main brushes and an auxiliary brush or between two auxiliary brushes; or the coil S may be supplied from an auxiliary armature winding and commutator. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also the application of the short-circuiting device to the field windings of a machine which is excited from a separate source or by any other method than the above. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
