Protective arrangements. - In protective arrangements for electric distributing - systems in which electric differential devices are employed to operate switches 12, 13 on parallel conductors 1, 2, the differential devices are employed in pairs, one device acting as a relav to the other. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, one of the differential devices 5 of each pair comprises cross - connected transformers, and the other device 6 comprises interlocked relays adapted to close the circuit of one of the tripping-coils 9, 10 at 7 or 8 when the first device has operated to close the circuit at 11. In a modification, balancing-transformers are used instead of the cross-connected transformers 5. In a further modification, a single pair of secondary windings upon the feeder primaries is used for the two differential devices. Specifications 11,979/08 and 4004/11 are referred to.
