Abstract

25,417. Petit, C. March 13, 1912, [Convention date]. Diving - tools. - Gripping - arms for diving- apparatus, of the type in which the arms can pivot on a plate which is rotatable in the wall of the apparatus, are arranged so that the articulation between the arm and the plate is completely outside the diving - apparatus. The plate 37 is rotated by means of a spur-wheel 39 and is formed as a kind of hood in which the member 47 is pivoted. This member carries a worm-wheel 43 rotated by a worm 44, by which the inclination of the grips is varied. The grips are formed of a tube 48 carrying one jaw 49, in which slides a rod 51 carrying the other jaw 50. The rod 51 is operated by means of a screwed sleeve 52 which is rotated through a cardan joint by means of a handle 46.
