Subaqueous structures.-Dovetail joints are formed upon the members of reinforced concrete structures, more particularly those which are intended to be assembled under water. In a quay wall, Fig. 1, formed from piles a, anchor plate b, and ties c, d, an interlocking joint is provided at a<1>. The. end of the tie d is shown in plan in Fig. 3, and the socket in sectional elevation and plan in Figs. 4 and 5. A Suspension ring d<0> may be provided. The joint may be coated with cement or bitumen before placing in position.
