19,088. Jacobs, E. C. Aug. 23, 1912, [Convention date]. Pulling-on pieces.-A pulling-on piece for a boot or shoe comprises a strap b folded to form a short loop and provided with a triangular filler c of sole leather or other material. The filling-piece is preferably secured to the strap by cement, and the two ends of the strap are cemented together before the device is stitched or otherwise attached to the upper. When the strap is made of leather, its ends are preferably skived thin to fit neatly in the upper. The device is attached so that one of the longer sides of the triangle is adjacent to the leg of the wearer, and the apex of the triangle is arranged to be substantially on a level with the top of the upper.
