Non - metallic elastic bodies and cores; tyre attachments to rims.-Wheel tyres comprise a series of hollow blocks or ovules 6 containing air at atmospheric pressure encircled by a flexible elastic band 7 composed of thin steel laminµ, and a solid rubber tread-piece 8. The nollow blocks rest in a groove formed by two aluminium L - shaped rings 3, 3<a> which have shoulders 5 embracing the band 7 and annular grooves 4 in which are clamped by the side rings 10 tongues 9<a> depending from the beads 9 of the tread piece to exclude moisture &c, from the interior of the tyre. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 8506/09 and 2999/11.
