Man-hole and hand-hole doors and frames.- The frame d of a hinged door is formed with a rabbet or recess all round by means of a bar e, Fig. 2, or j, Fig. 4, which also secures in the rabbet bulbous packing f so as to provide a weathertight joint with the door a. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 2, the edges b of the door are flanged. According to the modification shown in Fig. 3, the packing f is secured by an angle-bar to the door and bears against the rabetted frame d.
